Tried & Tested - Milk Makeup Charcoal Cleanser

The Milk Charcoal cleanser wasn't something I had on my wish list or had even heard much about, but when my eyes locked onto it in T.K. Maxx, I knew it was mine. I've heard a lot about Milk Makeup but not so much about their skincare, so thought I'd share my thoughts on the product. The cleanser comes in a really sleek and mess free tube. I love a tube as they rarely get dirty and I just find the whole process a lot less messy than trying to get a cleanser out of a tub or a pump, so extra brownie points for that! Now onto the cleanser itself... The formula has a thick, jelly consistency to it and lathers up really nicely when wet. The cleanser is black but goes on clear, so doesn't leave any kind of colour residue behind. It feels so amazing when I wash my face with this product. It's a really deep cleansing face wash that feels like it's really getting into my skin and purifying it, as oppose to just gracing over the top layer of my skin without really do...

Foundation Reviews - YSL Touche Éclat Glow Foundation

When it comes to foundations I am obsessed. Anyone, in any shop in the world can persuade me how much this foundation will change my life... Meaning I have had my fair share of experience when it comes to foundation. I had been eyeing this foundation up for a few weeks and finally bit the bullet and bought it! Carry on reading for an honest review. I rarely wear drugstore foundations, I just love the feeling of luxury, expensive foundation and I usually find high end makeup doesn't break my skin out. So when I bought my first YSL foundation I was elated. The packaging is really travel friendly and I love a good tube foundation as they are easy to store and are less likely to break than a glass bottle. The formula itself it quite odd, it's like nothing I have ever used. When pumped it appears to look like a cream, but when you spread it, it turns into more of a watery consistency. The formula appears to not mix and separate when you try to spread it, which didn't fill ...

My Everyday Makeup Brushes

I am a little bit of a makeup brush hoarder, I really do not have a limit on when enough is enough. This has led to a vast and 100% oversized makeup brush collection. But these are the brushes I grab every day without thinking and know they will give me a flawless face. 1. MAC 170 Face Brush The MAC 170 is a staple in my collection and can make any foundation look amazing. The bush is quite dense but has movement in it, and is really unique. The shape of the brush is like a dome, it's not flat but has a dome shape, making it ideal for buffing product into the skin. This is defiantly a brush for people who love to tap and press foundation into their skin, if you prefer to use a flat foundation brush, this is probably not for you. 2.LUXIE 660 Precision Foundation Brush When setting my face i like a sweeping layer, no baking, no intense setting, just enough to stop my face getting oily or my makeup creasing. Therefore this brush is ideal, it's a great for sweeping under th...

5 City Break Makeup Essentials

Booking a City break is like pandora's box, will it rain? will it be hot? will it be hot and raining? As a result of this I always end up packing for every single weather option. It could be July and I would still pack a coat incase it snows. So I've listed the 5 items that are the best in all weather, great for travelling and are products that are reliable. 1.It Cosmetics CC Cream   One of my favourite products for travelling is this CC cream. It can be used in the day time for a sheer natural look, or built up at night for a glam look. The SPF of 50 is also great for in the day time, and it doesn't fade over the day. I love products that are multi use and save time, this has colour correcting properties, reduces dark spots and is really hydrating. This is perfect for walking around a city come rain or shine. 2.Bronzing Drops My one true saviour! My bronzing drops were an extra item I used to pack if I had any space left, but they have now become a key staple in an...

10 Tips For Packing A Carry On Liquids Bag

Packing a liquids bag used to be my worst nightmare, cramming all of my makeup, skincare and hair products into a tiny bag would require a miracle. Ever since I put a lipstick in the wrong place and was held up for an hour at airport security, I was determined to never let it happen again. I found the best way of saving space, packing the essentials and travelling through security like grease lightening! Below are my 9 tips to pack the perfect carry on liquids bag. 1. Invest in a quart size bag   You can find these in most drugstore shops for under £5, mine is from super drug and has took me all over Europe, these bags are the correct size and MUST be clear. If the bag is any bigger than this, you may be asked to purchase one at the airport, and believe me they are not cheap! 2. Use samples Samples are like the holy grail of travelling with liquids. These are ideal for a long weekend and can be thrown out when finished. Any samples I receive I stash in a makeup bag and sc...

Top 5 Products From Liz Earle

Liz Earle skincare has always been that one brand I have constantly gone back to over the years. whenever I have acne flare ups or dry skin, I always spring back to my tried and tested routine. These are the products that whenever my skin is having a melt down I know will soothe and calm my skin (yes, I am aware there is a candle as one of my favourite products, that's more for the general meltdowns not just skin!) Cleanse And Polish  The cleanse and polish from Liz Earle is such an iconic product, there really is nothing like it. You massage the cream onto dry skin and wipe it off with a hot cloth. It melts away makeup and leaves my skin so plump and soft. Not only does it remove makeup and cleanse, it smells unbelievable. It's full of natural oils and smells like you're at a spa. Instant Boost Skin Tonic  This is amazing, point blank amazing. It's full of Vitamin E, chamomile and even cucumber. It's so refreshing and kind to the skin, doesn't dry and on...

Tried & Tested - The Body Shop's Aloe Vera Skincare range

There is no denying, trying a new skincare product can be daunting. The thought of bad skin, volcanic eruptions popping up all over the place, and dreaming of the money you wish you could get back. But fear not, there is hope out there! Ever since I read about the benefits of aloe vera, I have been dying to incorporate it into my skincare routine... without breaking the bank. After doing some mooching around I stumbled upon The Body Shop's range and my prayers had been answered!   Aloe Calming Cream Cleanser This is more of a makeup remover than a cleanser, the creamy formula just melts away makeup and leaves my skin baby smooth. As I like a good double cleanse, I will use another cleanser after my makeup has been removed to make sure all the makeup is off and my skin has had a proper good clean! But the cream cleanser is really great for melting away makeup, and is great for my sensitive skin! The only downside is there aren't really a lot of directions on how to appl...

5 Glossier Products Worth The Hype

When I placed my first order with Glossier, I could not contain my excitement. I'd bit the bullet and give in to all the hype and amazing reviews about the cult skincare brand. But the more I read and watched about the brand I wondered... is it overhyped? The packaging and cool girl aesthetic had well and truly lured me in. But it's safe to say Glossier really has some real finds, and if you're  looking for something differnet with a unique finish and style, Glossier is for you. I've chose the 5 Glossier products that I can't live without and I think are worth the hype GLOSSIER PRIMING MOISTURIZER   The Priming Moisturiser was the product I was most sceptical about. The lightweight moisturiser has a thin liquid texture and I feared it wouldn't hydrate my flaky dry skin. But to my surprise it has become a staple in my morning skincare regime. As it's so lightweight, it doesn't feel heavy or thick under my skin. The moisturiser is perfect for appl...
