5 Glossier Products Worth The Hype

When I placed my first order with Glossier, I could not contain my excitement. I'd bit the bullet and give in to all the hype and amazing reviews about the cult skincare brand. But the more I read and watched about the brand I wondered... is it overhyped? The packaging and cool girl aesthetic had well and truly lured me in. But it's safe to say Glossier really has some real finds, and if you're
looking for something differnet with a unique finish and style, Glossier is for you. I've chose the 5 Glossier products that I can't live without and I think are worth the hype

GLOSSIER PRIMING MOISTURIZER
The Priming Moisturiser was the product I was most sceptical about. The lightweight moisturiser has a thin liquid texture and I feared it wouldn't hydrate my flaky dry skin. But to my surprise it has become a staple in my morning skincare regime. As it's so lightweight, it doesn't feel heavy or thick under my skin. The moisturiser is perfect for applying under makeup and leaves my skin glowing and feeling super smooth. So this was a big thumbs up to me, defiantly worth the hype!
GLOSSIER PERFECTING SKIN TINT
Now... I love my sheer foundations, but the thought of a skin tint petrified me, walking around with my naked face on show with zero coverage, sent shivers down my spine. But this was another product that shocked me, the glowy, sheer base looked so natural and 'your skin but better' (cliche I know) and surprisingly stayed on all day! On the days when I want a fuller look, I just use a heavier concealer and blend it all in. Another big thumbs up!

GLOSSIER STRETCH CONCELAER
This became my favourite concealer for everywhere, under my eyes, on my acne scars, it worked miracles (I thought about writing my essays in it to see if it would perform miracles there!) The concealer is completely build able, but never appears thick or cakey. It also has a brightening effect which looks so beautiful under the eyes. If your skin is really dry then this is perfect, the concealer has a wet feel to it, so it doesn't stick or cling to dry patches and just looks like skin!

GLOSSIER GENERATION G LIPSTICK (LIKE)
Finding lipsticks that suits my pale skin is like a challenge in the crystal maze. They're either too dark, too bright, too pink and I just lost all hope. I ordered this as an impulse buy and never looked back. The colour is a soft, muted, pink and has a sheer application. It adapts perfectly to my lip colour and looks like I have the most hydrated, plump lips. This is my go to everyday colour. I can throw it in my bag and apply it effortlessly even without a mirror!

GLOSSIER HALOSCOPE (QUARTZ)
Last but not least is the Haloscope, AKA a halo in a tube. This stuff has been crafted by the Gods! The subtle glow is great for someone who just wants to have that natural radiance without looking like you've got any makeup on. The shade Quartz has a golden sun kissed appearance to it, that just makes me feel like I'm in the sun even when it's raining. I find it best to use my finger and tap the product onto my cheekbones, as this method doesn't take the rest of your base makeup away.

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
