Tried & Tested - The Body Shop's Aloe Vera Skincare range

There is no denying, trying a new skincare product can be daunting. The thought of bad skin, volcanic eruptions popping up all over the place, and dreaming of the money you wish you could get back. But fear not, there is hope out there! Ever since I read about the benefits of aloe vera, I have been dying to incorporate it into my skincare routine... without breaking the bank. After doing some mooching around I stumbled upon The Body Shop's range and my prayers had been answered!

 Aloe Calming Cream Cleanser
This is more of a makeup remover than a cleanser, the creamy formula just melts away makeup and leaves my skin baby smooth. As I like a good double cleanse, I will use another cleanser after my makeup has been removed to make sure all the makeup is off and my skin has had a proper good clean! But the cream cleanser is really great for melting away makeup, and is great for my sensitive skin! The only downside is there aren't really a lot of directions on how to apply the cream, but I apply the cleanser to dry skin and then use a warm muslin cloth to wipe it away.

Aloe Calming Foaming Wash
This is the next step in my routine, The foam is really satisfying to apply and feels great on the skin. It has real similarities to the Clinique Anti Blemish Cleansing Foam.It has no scent and is really great for sensitive skin, the only thing I would say is it doesn't feel like a deep cleansing foaming wash so if you'e someone who prefers that rich, deep, oil cleansing product, this is not for you. But this has become one of my favourite cleansing products and I am loving it more and more with every use.

Aloe Calming Toner
I feel like toners get overlooked these days and can easily be forgotten in a world of serums and chemical exfoliants.. but at the end of the day, you can always use a good toner! This toner is so cooling, I tend to use it more when the weather is warm or I've been the gym and want to quickly wipe away any sweat. It's not harsh and doesn't irritate my skin and does everything I could ask for!

Aloe Soothing Day Cream
When it comes to a morning moisturiser, I prefer something light, that will absorb quickly and I can do my makeup without sitting around waiting for it to dry. This moisturiser is great for sensitive skin, leaves my skin hydrated and doesn't feel greasy.

Aloe Soothing Night Cream
At night, I love to drown my face in a thick rich cream, and wake up with hydrated and nourished skin. A little bit of this goes a long, it can sometimes feel greasy if you use a bit too much and feel like it's not really sinking into your skin. But when I use about a pea size amount, I really see the benefits!
Aloe Soothing Rescue Cream Mask
This mask is not like your regular mask, it is a leave on mask that has real results. I am on prescribed topical acne treatments, and find this is perfect for my sensitive skin and stops it burning and becoming to agitated. Whenever my skin becomes irritated or sore, this is my go to mask, it takes the redness out of my scarring and just leaves my skin feeling beautiful.

Bioderma Sensibio Range Review - PR

If you've been around for a long time you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands and they were kind enough to send me their Sensibio range to try out.  The Bioderma Sensibio Micellar water needs no introduction. It's a staple in so many makeup artists routines and it's easy to see why. I've gone through so many of these micellar waters and nothing quite compares for me. This is the foundation of my morning skincare and is just enough cleansing without stripping my face. It's such a beautiful formula that leaves my skin looking super refreshed.  I also received a few goodies I haven't tried before including the Sensibio eye contour gel . This really surprised me as I usually steer towards creams when it comes to eye cream, but I was super impressed with the gel. It feels more like a creamy gel and glides beautifully under the eyes and makes the perfect base for concealer. I've actually been using this in the morning as I find the gel i...

Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Bronzer - Pale Skin Review

I had been dying to purchase one of these bronzers since they came out and after months of resisting finally caved in! There are 8 shades which is great as there is a large range to choose from, depending on how you like your bronzer. Naturally I am quite pale and for reference I am the shade 120 in the Fenty Foundation and 150 Buff in Revlon's colour stay foundation, and even in summer, I never really change that much from these shades. From being so pale, the fear of the bronzer is real, I haven't found any that look natural and don't leave me looking orange, muddy, or like i have a some kind of smudge on my face. So I decided to try the lightest bronzer Fenty Beauty had to offer, Inda Sun. From swatching the shade appears pretty neutral and light, it doesn't have a red undertone that can leave pale skin looking orange. I also love the gold packaging and how luxury and sleek it feels. I used the same brush I would normally use for bronzer which is my real tech...

Isle Of Paradise Self- Tanning Water Review

So throughout the year, I am pretty much Casper the ghost when it comes to having a tan and when summer comes round, I just can't face my translucent legs any longer... bring on the tan! So usually my go to is Bondi Sands, but I was just drawn to the uniqueness of the tanning mist! This comes in three colours, designed to match your skin tone which is pretty cool, there's a pink (light) , green (medium) and purple (dark). I am pale but have an olive undertone to my skin so decided to go for medium because usually the lightest ones don't show up on my skin particularly well. So I did all the usual steps of tanning, 24 hours earlier I exfoliated my skin and moisturised (especially around my ankles and wrists) and then I got down to actually applying it. When you spray this stuff, you're supposed to spray it from a reasonable distance and just keep spritzing until you're basically soaked in the stuff. I had a really hard time getting this to work and I was so dis...
