My Everyday Makeup Brushes

I am a little bit of a makeup brush hoarder, I really do not have a limit on when enough is enough. This has led to a vast and 100% oversized makeup brush collection. But these are the brushes I grab every day without thinking and know they will give me a flawless face.

1. MAC 170 Face Brush
The MAC 170 is a staple in my collection and can make any foundation look amazing. The bush is quite dense but has movement in it, and is really unique. The shape of the brush is like a dome, it's not flat but has a dome shape, making it ideal for buffing product into the skin. This is defiantly a brush for people who love to tap and press foundation into their skin, if you prefer to use a flat foundation brush, this is probably not for you.

2.LUXIE 660 Precision Foundation Brush
When setting my face i like a sweeping layer, no baking, no intense setting, just enough to stop my face getting oily or my makeup creasing. Therefore this brush is ideal, it's a great for sweeping under the eyes and across the T-Zone without looking like you've dunked your face into setting powder.

3.MAC 188 Face Brush
Contouring always terrified me, I could never quite get it to look like a cheekbone, but it just looked like a thick brown line down my cheeks. When I discovered this brush, my life genuinely changed. The brush is amazing, as it's so small it really gets into the hollows of your cheeks and blends the powder really nicely.

4.ZOEVA 106 Powder Brush
For bronzer, I like an all over bronze. A 'two week vacation' kinda bronze, so I use a powder brush. The Zoeva brush is quite big but doesn't pick up too much pigment, so it's enough to sweep over the face but looks really natural.

5.ECOTOOlS Precision Blush Brush
Blush Brushes, I find either sheer out my blush too much, or put way too much on! This is perfect for me, it's so easy to apply and just provides the perfect level of rosiness.

6.ELF Highlighting Brush
This highlighting brush is amazing, It is really soft and not spiky like a lot of other highlighter brushes. It really sweeps the highlighter across the cheeks, blending it out and leaving a natural glow, as oppose to a harsh line of highlighter.

7. NYX Crease Brush
For everyday makeup I only use one eyeshadow brush, and usually I just take some of my bronzer and sweep it across my eyes. So this brush is ideal, it blends across the eye, packs the colour on and can blend it into my crease and if I use it on my lower lash line i just squish the brush and use it like that.

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
