November Empties

So I'm trying out a different way of showing you my empties this month (exciting I know!) and I'm going to break my empties down into skincare, haircare and makeup!

MAKEUP

Fenty Bronzer - £25
After two years my Fenty bronzer is finally finished. There is hardly any fall out to this bronzer which makes it so hard to finish. The formula is really buttery and smooth and the shade Inda Sun is the perfect cool toned bronzer.
Recommend - 100%
Repurchase Yes - After I've used up a few more bronzers!

Elf Lip Lacquer - £3
This was purely a lockdown purchase. I wanted to wear a comfy gloss instead of lipstick but didn't want to pay a lot... when I wasn't going anywhere. The elf lip lacquer's are super comfy, long wearing and really glossy. The only down side is they contain 2.5 ml of product, but for £3 I'm not complaining.
Recommend - YES
Repurchase- For £3... I'll take 10

SKINCARE

Ole Henriksen - Banana Bright Eye Creme - £32
This just didn't do it for me. I did initially enjoy it, but I didn't really notice it reducing my dark circles and the scent... I HATE the scent (not a word I use lightly), it smells like straight up liquorice to me, and I don't want that under my eyes thank you. I really just didn't think this was worth the coin.
Recommend - Nope
Repurchase - It's a pass

Kiehls Aqua Gel SPF 50 - £38
Again another product that was just ok. I thought this would be more of a gel consistency ( I couldn't try it due to covid) due to the name.... but it was like every other Sunscreen. It was actually quite drying and I thought it was really overpriced. It wasn't necessarily bad, but isn't a product I would be rushing out to get agin, especially when there are a lot better more affordable options.
Recommend - No
Repurchase - No

Carbon Theory Tea Tree Oil and Glycolic Acid Pads* - £16
Now onto a product I did like. I lovvveeddd these pads. The formula was really gentle and didn't sting my skin. I loved these for after a workout, because they stopped my pores enlarging and blackheads!
The only downsides were the material of the pads were a little abrasive and I wish the formula came in a bottle, so I could use a gauze or cotton pad that was a little more gentle.
Recommend - Yes
Repurchase - Maybe in the future (especially for traveling)

Bioderma Hydrabio Serum* - £18.50
Another product I loved! I couldn't get enough of this, I used it morning and night. It has a really light, gel consistency but kept my skin hydrated all day. I love hydration serums so it's no surprise I loved this one.
Recommend - Yes
Repurchase - Oh Yeah

BODYCARE

Palmers Cocoa Butter Body Scrub - £4.99
I've tried so many scrubs... but this is hands down my favourite. It's creamy and not too abrasive where I feel like I'm scrubbing 10 layers of skin off. I love how handy the packaging is too, it's really easy to use in the shower and the scent is heavenly, it's vanilla, cocoa goodness. I'm not sure if they've changed the packaging to a tub ... which I pray they haven't !
Recommend - Yes
Repurchase - already in my basket!

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Glossier Skywash Review

Whenever Glossier launches anything, I just can't resist! I always loved the idea of swipe on liquid eyeshadows, but Glossiers lidstar's were just too shimmery for my taste... but Skywash.... right up my alley! These are matte liquid Eyeshadows, which claim to be buildable, long lasting (up to twelve hours) and easy to apply. I bought the shades echo, a cocoa brown and terra, a warm orange based brown. I love the concealer, doe foot like applicator, as it is small enough to swipe a good amount on my eyelid, without smearing it everywhere. I honestly can't tell you how easy these are to apply and blend out. A quick swipe on my eye and tap tap tap... I have a gorgeous wash of colour that's not patchy and looks divine! I love how quick and easy these are to apply and the fact they applied evenly really shocked me. They are also buildable, applying two coats gives me more of an evening look and a stronger wash of colour. To be honest... they aren't super long wear...
