Glossier Skywash Review


Whenever Glossier launches anything, I just can't resist! I always loved the idea of swipe on liquid eyeshadows, but Glossiers lidstar's were just too shimmery for my taste... but Skywash.... right up my alley!
These are matte liquid Eyeshadows, which claim to be buildable, long lasting (up to twelve hours) and easy to apply. I bought the shades echo, a cocoa brown and terra, a warm orange based brown. I love the concealer, doe foot like applicator, as it is small enough to swipe a good amount on my eyelid, without smearing it everywhere.

I honestly can't tell you how easy these are to apply and blend out. A quick swipe on my eye and tap tap tap... I have a gorgeous wash of colour that's not patchy and looks divine! I love how quick and easy these are to apply and the fact they applied evenly really shocked me. They are also buildable, applying two coats gives me more of an evening look and a stronger wash of colour.
To be honest... they aren't super long wearing. They do fade, but last around 8 hours, which for a liquid eyeshadow is still pretty impressive!

The only downside is that these are pretty pricey, for one eyeshadow they retail on Glossier for £15 each or two for £25. They are expensive when you think how many shades you get in a palette for a similar amount. But honestly, when I purchase a new palette, I only ever ending using about two or three shades anyway and they just clutter up my room! So these really are a good investment to love and use up, instead of having mountains of eyeshadow palettes you never use!

Overall I will definitely repurchase these shades when I run out and would love to try some more shades! They're also super creamy, which is brilliant for my dry eyelids and they don't even crease in my hooded eyes!

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. July Empties

 Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one.
