October Empties

So another month has rolled by and I thought I'd update you on all the products I've cranked through.

The first product I finished up was the Glossier Moisturising Moon Mask. When I initially bought this in March I was super surprised at how small it was... but I've only just finished it, it's lasted me 5 months which I couldn't believe. I enjoyed this mask, it really helped my skin on accutane and is a great skincare product for the transition of the seasons. I do have other masks I prefer, so I don't know if I would go out of my way to purchase this again, but if I was purchasing a Glossier order... I would definitely pick one up.

Speaking of Glossier, I also finished up my wowder powder. I have had this forever... and I bought this before the shade expansion so the colour I have is a little too dark for my pale skin. If you've seen my instagram , you'll know I have a slight setting powder problem (borderline addiction) and I have way to many. So I may purchase a lighter shade at some point, but it will be when I have got through some more.

I also finished up my Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer. I didn't really realise I was using this up. I started to use this as an eye primer and before I knew it... it was gone. I used this as a concealer for a while and loved it, however, I found the longer I had it the formula almost oxidised in the packaging and turned more of an orange tone, which has never happened to me before. I don't know whether I'd purchase this again, as although I loved the formula the oxidisation really put me off.

Another product I emptied was my Huda Beauty Overachiever Concealer. This concealer is full coverage and I mean FULLL. I'm not really into full coverage makeup anymore, so I kept this as a spot/scar concealer or for days when my under eyes were particularly dark. I have had this concealer for so long and when my acne was severe, I would have been lost without this. I don't think I'll repurchase this as it just doesn't fit my style anymore, but if I was looking for a full coverage concealer this would be my pick.

My Simple Water boost hydration booster also bit the dust this month. This product was ok, I didn't notice it doing that much extra for my skin in terms of hydration. I feel like all of the products in the water boost range are the same formula rebranded. The hydration booster, gel cream and sleep drench cream all feel the exact same ... so I won't be repurchasing this one again.

Finally I finished up my Bioderma Sensibo Micellar Water. If you've been around a while you'll know this is my holy grail micellar water. I was kindly sent the Hydrabio micellar water* from Bioderma which I love even more than the Sensibo formula.. but I have a back up of the original so will get through that next before purchasing more.

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Glossier Skywash Review

Whenever Glossier launches anything, I just can't resist! I always loved the idea of swipe on liquid eyeshadows, but Glossiers lidstar's were just too shimmery for my taste... but Skywash.... right up my alley! These are matte liquid Eyeshadows, which claim to be buildable, long lasting (up to twelve hours) and easy to apply. I bought the shades echo, a cocoa brown and terra, a warm orange based brown. I love the concealer, doe foot like applicator, as it is small enough to swipe a good amount on my eyelid, without smearing it everywhere. I honestly can't tell you how easy these are to apply and blend out. A quick swipe on my eye and tap tap tap... I have a gorgeous wash of colour that's not patchy and looks divine! I love how quick and easy these are to apply and the fact they applied evenly really shocked me. They are also buildable, applying two coats gives me more of an evening look and a stronger wash of colour. To be honest... they aren't super long wear...
