Restarting My Project Pan

So if you follow me on Instagram you'll know I suck at Project Pan's. I started the project around January and ending up never using any ofthe products I picked. This was due to a number of reasons; One - I was right at the start of my Accutane treatment so I couldn't actually use many of the products I'd chosen from my original project as my skin had gotten so dry. Two - I've been wearing a mask for a while now, when I go out, so lipsticks are pretty much out the window. Three - I set myself no rules.

This time I've picked products I love but always end up neglecting. Products that suit my skin and I can wear with a face mask (please wear a mask!). The rules I've set myself is that I can only buy a new product when I've used my chosen eight products up. This doesn't include items I go through all the time like mascara, brow gel and foundation... but includes buying excess makeup I don't need.

1. Fenty Sun Stalkr Bronzer - Inda Sun
This is actually a bronzer from my original project pan. I did really well with this one as I hit pan and I feel like I could definitely use it up as there isn't that far to go!

2. Huda Beauty Overachiever Concealer
I have a love hate relationship with this concealer. There are days it looks great but days where it makes my under eyes look super dry and it feels really heavy. I have been loving using it lightly to cover up my acne scars so think I can get some use out of it this way.

3.Nars Multiple Stick in Orgasm
I love blush and over buying blush is one of my worst habits. I love this shade and I've had this since December and already used over half. This is a gorgeous cream blush and I'm hoping to be able to finish it!

4. Nars Radiance Primer
I recently finished my Glossier Future Dew so have brought this baby out of my draw! It works a dream and makes my skin look so healthy.

5. Glossier 'Nite Shine
I actually don't reach for highlighter that much these days but I love how natural this one looks on my skin, so I think I could definitely use it up.

6.Kevyn Aucoin contour powder
I've recently got back into contouring and i realised i hardly ever touched my Kevyn Aucoin contour powder. It's a great shade that suits my pale skin so think it's a great fit for my project pan.

7. Kiehl's Lip Treatment
Lip balms have been my go to this year, with lockdown and mask wearing and this Kiehl's one is one of my favourites. It's a gorgeous colour that suits every look and doesn't transfer onto my face mask because it's so sheer. Plus it hydrates my lips.

8. Nars Pressed Setting Powder
I love this powder and it really suits my dry skin well. It sets my makeup without making my face feel dry and still makes my face look dewy. Plus it's translucent so doesn't make my under eyes look dark. I can't believe how little I use this considering how much I love it.

There we have it! My new project pan. I'll do monthly updates and post on my Instagram account The Call Of The Makeup to show how much product is left, so keep an eye out there.

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
