Reviewing Zitsticka Patches with Cystic Acne

I've really been looking for a product that hits the spot when it comes to acne (sorry I couldn't resist) and when Zitsticka kindly sent me some of their spot clarifying patches I was beyond excited!

So here is me, on the right in all my baby faced glory and as you can tell, I'm definetly used to the odd spot or two. I've tried pretty much every 'acne fighting', 'spot eradicating' product you could dream of... except spot patches!

So this kit is amazing because it comes with two steps. The first is the 'cleana', which is a cleansing swab, to make the area around the spot all prepped for step two. I love this stuff because it feels almost medicinal, it really feels as if the area is 'clean' and I would buy these patches individually and wipe them all over my face every evening!

Now.... Step two is the 'Killa' part. This is the step that's going to kill those spots! This step works by using self dissolving micro darts that are coated in acne fighting goodness such as Sodium Hyaluronate, salicylic acid and Niacinamide. I'm not gonna lie, I worked myself up for a good hour at the thought of putting darts in my face! But honestly... I hardly felt a thing! The darts are super tiny and it just feels like an exfoliant!

The Results... I was actually pretty surprised at how well these work! I put the patches on and left them over night and by the morning one of my spots had completely dried up and gone and the other spots, that were patiently sitting under my skin ready to erupt, weren't there either! I really couldn't believe how well they worked... But, when I ventured on to boots to repurchase them, I saw the price.... this pack of patches is £26.99... for 8 applications... 8. I have severe cystic acne and probably have 8 spots on my chin alone. So when it came to putting the patches on, I was really looking hard at which spots to prioritise and which ones looked the worst because I'd probably need at least two boxes for one day, to cover the acne on my face!

So overall, I can't deny that these work and I will probably repurchase them at some point in the future, maybe for the week before my university graduation, if I'm going on holiday, or a special occasion ... but for me, I would need so many more patches to even make a dent in the spots on my skin! So if you're someone who is prone to the odd spot or flare up, I cannot recommend these enough, but if you're like me and suffer with cystic acne, then one pack won't even last you a day.

Bioderma Sensibio Range Review - PR

If you've been around for a long time you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands and they were kind enough to send me their Sensibio range to try out.  The Bioderma Sensibio Micellar water needs no introduction. It's a staple in so many makeup artists routines and it's easy to see why. I've gone through so many of these micellar waters and nothing quite compares for me. This is the foundation of my morning skincare and is just enough cleansing without stripping my face. It's such a beautiful formula that leaves my skin looking super refreshed.  I also received a few goodies I haven't tried before including the Sensibio eye contour gel . This really surprised me as I usually steer towards creams when it comes to eye cream, but I was super impressed with the gel. It feels more like a creamy gel and glides beautifully under the eyes and makes the perfect base for concealer. I've actually been using this in the morning as I find the gel i...

Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Bronzer - Pale Skin Review

I had been dying to purchase one of these bronzers since they came out and after months of resisting finally caved in! There are 8 shades which is great as there is a large range to choose from, depending on how you like your bronzer. Naturally I am quite pale and for reference I am the shade 120 in the Fenty Foundation and 150 Buff in Revlon's colour stay foundation, and even in summer, I never really change that much from these shades. From being so pale, the fear of the bronzer is real, I haven't found any that look natural and don't leave me looking orange, muddy, or like i have a some kind of smudge on my face. So I decided to try the lightest bronzer Fenty Beauty had to offer, Inda Sun. From swatching the shade appears pretty neutral and light, it doesn't have a red undertone that can leave pale skin looking orange. I also love the gold packaging and how luxury and sleek it feels. I used the same brush I would normally use for bronzer which is my real tech...

Isle Of Paradise Self- Tanning Water Review

So throughout the year, I am pretty much Casper the ghost when it comes to having a tan and when summer comes round, I just can't face my translucent legs any longer... bring on the tan! So usually my go to is Bondi Sands, but I was just drawn to the uniqueness of the tanning mist! This comes in three colours, designed to match your skin tone which is pretty cool, there's a pink (light) , green (medium) and purple (dark). I am pale but have an olive undertone to my skin so decided to go for medium because usually the lightest ones don't show up on my skin particularly well. So I did all the usual steps of tanning, 24 hours earlier I exfoliated my skin and moisturised (especially around my ankles and wrists) and then I got down to actually applying it. When you spray this stuff, you're supposed to spray it from a reasonable distance and just keep spritzing until you're basically soaked in the stuff. I had a really hard time getting this to work and I was so dis...
