My Santorini Beauty Adventure

While I was on my honeymoon in the beautiful, Greek Island of Santorini, I saw an article on Into The Gloss by Tom Newton about Greek Pharmacies and the hidden beauty gems you can find there, so I decided to go on my own little greek adventure!

I had my eye on a few skincare essentials before I arrived and couldn't resist picking a few up whilst I was there! The first brand I had my eye on were the Apivita face and hair masks, I picked up the Moisturising Sea Lavender face pack and the aloe face pack as my skin was super dehydrated from the 39 degree Celsius weather and really needed a nice round of moisture and rehydration. I also got the moisturising hair pack as my hair was really feeling it from the hot weather!

The next brand I was dying to try was Korres, as it's pretty hard to find in the UK and it originates from Athens, so when in Greece! I love a good hand cream so picked up this olive blossom hand cream, for the flight home as it was travel sized. I also picked up two of their body milks as I have developed a real love for investing in products for my body and not just my face. I bought the white blossom and yogurt scents and thoroughly enjoyed lathering my skin in them after a shower! I also picked up their olive stones scrub for a nice pamper day once I was home after a long day of traveling, this was a harsh exfoliant so will save for days when my skin is in special need.

I loved the products I purchased and can't wait to get back to Greece to pick up more essentials!

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
