For me there is nothing better than finding a beauty product that is incredible and sent from heaven... that is also not going to break the bank. Since I'm going to university in September, I have been looking for products that are still amazing, but don't come with a hefty price tag. These are my favourite products!
1.Revlon ColorStay Foundation Normal/Dry
I adore this foundation and the colour 150 matches me better than any other foundation ever has. They do two formulas, one for oily skin and one for dry. I have both and switch it up depending on how my skin is feeling on the day or whether its winter or summer. At £12.99 a bottle, this is a great price for a product that feels so high end.
2.L.A. Girl Pro Conceal - Porcelain
Now although the shade range is not the best, for £5.00, I couldn't leave this foundation out. I love the feel and texture of the concealer and it doesn't crease under my eyes during the day. It is perfect for everyday and covers my dark circles whilst still looking natural.
3.Makeup Revolution Baking Powder - Translucent
I picked this up on a whim after seeing it was only £5 and thought it was worth a try compared to other powders in the £20-£30 range. As my skin is oily I usually bake with this under my eyes and around my T-Zone and it keeps everything in place all day. The only thing is the packaging is so annoying, the lid isn't big enough to dip a bush in, so I use a plastic square to shake the product onto. Packaging aside, the powder is amazing for £5.
4.Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Peach Glow
On days when I'm in a rush I'll use a pressed powder as it's so much quicker, I think the rimmel powder is a cult classic and for good reason. It keeps my oils in place all day and is great for carrying in my bag on the go for touch ups.
5.Wet 'N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder - Precious Petals
Usually I never get highlighters from the drugstore because they always look chalky or lack lustre. But this is my new favourite, the pinky colour is perfect to give my skin a little warmth but still look natural. The highlight is stunning and gives a really ethereal, holiday sun kind of glow. I haven't used anything else since purchasing this and its only £4.99. If you prefer a more blinding highlight, there are lighter shades that will show up even more on pale skin.
7. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Eyeshadow - On & On Bronze
This is a cream eyeshadow and is such a beautiful smokey gold colour that can be used in the day or at night. You can use it with your fingers, a brush and it looks just as beautiful everytime. It's really forgiving and super easy to blend. This is the top swatch on the picture on the right
6.Wet 'N Wild Liquid Catsuit Metallic Eyeshadow - Shells and Whistles
Eyeshadows are another area I tend to stay well away from at the drugstore as they never seem to work for me, but there are two stand outs for me. The bottom swatch on the picture on the right and is the liquid eyeshadow from Wet 'N Wild. This is gorgeous for a little something for every day or making the star of a dramatic eyeshadow look! It's buildable, creamy and doesn't crease.
