Tried and Tested - Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water

Some people think setting sprays and primers are an unnecessary extra in a makeup routine...but without these two steps my makeup will slide off and my oily skin will make me look like I've just been for a bath! So naturally, finding a primer and setting spray that will keep my makeup in place is an essential!

This claims to be both a primer and a setting spray which is a bonus for me as products that do more than one job are the kind of products I love! It claims to hydrate your skin and prep for makeup application. I have used a number of setting sprays including Mac Fix +, Urban Decay All Nighter and Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day, but they haven't felt as nice on my skin as this Smashbox one.

First off, the scent. I am in love with the scent of the Smashbox primer water and it may not be a make or break factor for some people but for my sensitive skin it is. This smells like a spa and is a joy to spray on my face, it isn't as strong as the Gerard Cosmetics spray ( which made my skin tingle and my eyes water ) but it is strong enough to feel like you are spraying a luxury product.

Now, I love this spray as a primer and a setting spray, I just love it. As a primer it provides a beautiful base for makeup and leaves my skin feeling super super soft! If you are someone who is drifting away from the traditional silicone, gel like primers this would be perfect! As a setting spray, I have to say my makeup doesn't move and more importantly my oil hardly shows! I go to college and the atmosphere is pretty clammy and hot, but since I've been using this, I haven't had to powder my face once in the day!

Although it's pretty pricey at £22, This really does give you results! It really does feel beautiful, the spray is nice and, evenly disperses the water all over your face! Overall I am super impressed and can't wait to try this in summer!

Bioderma Sensibio Range Review - PR

If you've been around for a long time you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands and they were kind enough to send me their Sensibio range to try out.  The Bioderma Sensibio Micellar water needs no introduction. It's a staple in so many makeup artists routines and it's easy to see why. I've gone through so many of these micellar waters and nothing quite compares for me. This is the foundation of my morning skincare and is just enough cleansing without stripping my face. It's such a beautiful formula that leaves my skin looking super refreshed.  I also received a few goodies I haven't tried before including the Sensibio eye contour gel . This really surprised me as I usually steer towards creams when it comes to eye cream, but I was super impressed with the gel. It feels more like a creamy gel and glides beautifully under the eyes and makes the perfect base for concealer. I've actually been using this in the morning as I find the gel i...

Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Bronzer - Pale Skin Review

I had been dying to purchase one of these bronzers since they came out and after months of resisting finally caved in! There are 8 shades which is great as there is a large range to choose from, depending on how you like your bronzer. Naturally I am quite pale and for reference I am the shade 120 in the Fenty Foundation and 150 Buff in Revlon's colour stay foundation, and even in summer, I never really change that much from these shades. From being so pale, the fear of the bronzer is real, I haven't found any that look natural and don't leave me looking orange, muddy, or like i have a some kind of smudge on my face. So I decided to try the lightest bronzer Fenty Beauty had to offer, Inda Sun. From swatching the shade appears pretty neutral and light, it doesn't have a red undertone that can leave pale skin looking orange. I also love the gold packaging and how luxury and sleek it feels. I used the same brush I would normally use for bronzer which is my real tech...

Isle Of Paradise Self- Tanning Water Review

So throughout the year, I am pretty much Casper the ghost when it comes to having a tan and when summer comes round, I just can't face my translucent legs any longer... bring on the tan! So usually my go to is Bondi Sands, but I was just drawn to the uniqueness of the tanning mist! This comes in three colours, designed to match your skin tone which is pretty cool, there's a pink (light) , green (medium) and purple (dark). I am pale but have an olive undertone to my skin so decided to go for medium because usually the lightest ones don't show up on my skin particularly well. So I did all the usual steps of tanning, 24 hours earlier I exfoliated my skin and moisturised (especially around my ankles and wrists) and then I got down to actually applying it. When you spray this stuff, you're supposed to spray it from a reasonable distance and just keep spritzing until you're basically soaked in the stuff. I had a really hard time getting this to work and I was so dis...
