The Best Liquid Lipstick Formulas For Dry Lips

With every day getting colder and darker. It's no surprise my lips are getting extremely chapped and dry (darn you cold weather). This tends to cause a problem for me because I am obsessed with liquid lipsticks! OBSESSED! So when winter rolls around, I become extremely picky and only wear the liquid lipsticks that I know won't dry my lips out.

1.NARSissist Power Pack Lip Pigment - Le Freak
Nars liquid lipsticks are one of my all time favourite formulas. They feel so comfortable and non-drying on the lips, while staying put all day! The formula feels so creamy and doesn't have that heavy liquid lipstick feeling. The texture is so buttery and rich and it really doesn't feel like a liquid lipstick to me. It is also really long wearing, so if you are going out you know this will stay put!

2.Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick - Celebrity Skin
I have only recently purchased this lipstick, so it's pretty new to the collection. I'd heard so many good things about the formula and I m completely hooked. The colour pay off is incredible... one swipe and BOOM, you're ready to go. Once again, the formula is incredible, it feels so buttery and comfortable for everyday wear. If you're like me and love wearing liquid lipsticks every day, this is a go to.

3. Bare Minerals Statement Liquid Lip Colour - Naughty
If you've been a fan of my blog for a few months now you will know I loves me some Bare Minerals. I find the brand really amazing and haven't had one bad makeup or skincare product from there yet. The liquid lipsticks from Bare minerals are so comfy and they smell like cookies (Bonus points!). When it comes to liquid lipsticks that are red...this one takes the cake, not just a slice, the whole cake! It doesn't bleed outside my lipliner, it dries down to a beautiful sheen and looks breathtaking. It's one of those reds that make your teeth look really white, which is always a win from me!

4.Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink - Seductress
I have mentioned the Maybelline liquid lipsticks in another blog and I just love them so much. One reason in particular is that they don't move. This stuff does not come off, on your mug, on your clothes, on your man. Your lipstick will remain intact! It also feels so comfy and the applicator has a hole in the middle, which is designed to pack the most product in the centre of the lips, to give the biggest impact. This is a favourite when I have dry lips as I don't need to keep reapplying it all day, one application is all it takes!

5. Charlotte Tilbury Lucious Lip Slick - Dangerous Liaisons
I don't know what came over me the day I bought this, as I look back on the price and die a little bit inside, but... The formula is so so good. Charlotte really out did herself with this one. I love this colour especially, because it's not too red but it's not too berry. It feels so creamy and luxurious and does feel like a second skin. This liquid lipstick is designed to nurture your lips as you wear it, so you don't have to stop looking and feeling glam just because your lips are super dry!

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
