Debenhams Beauty Haul

So, every shopping trip, I promise I'll be good and not go too overboard... but as usual within two minutes and some good persuasion from the lady at the sales counter at Debenhams, I've practically bought a new makeup kit. So here's a little run down of what I bought!

1. Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer
I bought this years ago in a travel version from Sephora in Barcelona and really loved it. It was one of those products I just never repurchased and fancied a change from my Smashbox Primerizer. First off the smell is incredible, it smells just like coconuts and reminds me of Piña Colada, which I am definitely not complaining about. It feels so hydrating and leaves my skin extra soft. I will be doing a comparison of the Too faced and Smashbox Primer in a later blog so keep an eye out for that!

2.Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
I've heard so much about this foundation and recently I had a flare up of hormonal cystic acne (fun I know) so my regular light coverage foundations were just not cutting it. I really don't like that full, intense, coverage and much prefer something natural looking and this promised to look natural and provide coverage (sounds good to me). I'm still testing this so don't want to speak to soon but it looks amazing and is on track to become my new favourite foundation, blog on that coming soon!

3.Benefit Girl Meets Pearl
I don't know why but I've been on such a nostalgia trip with makeup recently! This for years was my go to highlighter, the cream texture, the subtle glow, the pearl shade, was me to a T. I wore this every day of my high school years and have just fell in love with it again. If you are someone who hates an over highlighted, powdery look this is for you!

4.Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Recently I have been having real issues with my Bobbi Brown Bronzer, as soon as I hit pan, it started to smell really badly and I have no idea why!? I contacted the customer care team who just gave me an invalid email address and that was it...So I decided to invest in a new one, Hoola is perfect for a natural bronze, it isn't too orange or too grey, it's just this perfect in-between. The formula can be quite patchy, but if you use a bush that is less dense, like a large powder brush or a stippling brush, it blends out beautifully.

5. Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara
I'v heard so much about this, and absolutely love slightly clumpy, messy mascara, so thought this would be perfect! I really have been looking at this for months but the price, £21, really made me shiver (Silently crying inside ), but all jokes aside, this really is something amazing, full lashes, doesn't transfer, isn't too clumpy... will definitely be rebuying!

6. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, Trooper
Before I found this eye liner, I could not do winged eyeliner to save my life, but this has quite a firm pen like tip, so makes it really easy to apply. The tip just glides on and it looks amazing! I had a mini version of this, which ran out so decided to buy the full version!

7. Bobbi Brown Sheer Powder Brush
This one isn't something I technically bought, as my beautiful fiancé bought me this, but thought I would include it as it was on our shopping trip. I love Bobbi Brown brushes, I have an obsession with timeless classic brushes and this pairs so nicely with the Hoola Bronzer, it really dispenses product so beautifully!

8. Beauty Blender
I love a good beauty blender, I really haven't found a cheaper alternative that does as good a job, it feels incredible. If you have never felt a real beauty blender, than grab your keys and your purse and run! It feels like a little cloud and makes my morning routine so quick as I can do pretty much everything with this!

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
