Foundation Reviews - Too Faced Born This Way

For some reason, I always presumed this was intense full coverage and was probably the only foundation in the world I hadn't tried. So as my skin decided to break out into a fluster of acne again (eternally grateful) I thought lets give it a go! I've been using this everyday since I bought it and have had no further acne (praise the lord!) and Is the first foundation I've used in a long time that doesn't feel dry on my skin. The texture is like a thin creamy, gel consistency and feels really hydrating on the skin. I apply it with a brush and then use my beauty blender over the top to make sure it's blended out, it blends out so easily and looks beautiful. The coverage I would say is pretty natural, it can definitely be built up and for me that's even better. I can use this in the day time, or build it up for a fuller look in the evening, which means one foundation does the job of two. For someone who has acne and acne scars this is perfect as it covers all...

Debenhams Beauty Haul

So, every shopping trip, I promise I'll be good and not go too overboard... but as usual within two minutes and some good persuasion from the lady at the sales counter at Debenhams, I've practically bought a new makeup kit. So here's a little run down of what I bought! 1. Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer I bought this years ago in a travel version from Sephora in Barcelona and really loved it. It was one of those products I just never repurchased and fancied a change from my Smashbox Primerizer. First off the smell is incredible, it smells just like coconuts and reminds me of PiƱa Colada, which I am definitely not complaining about. It feels so hydrating and leaves my skin extra soft. I will be doing a comparison of the Too faced and Smashbox Primer in a later blog so keep an eye out for that! 2.Too Faced Born This Way Foundation  I've heard so much about this foundation and recently I had a flare up of hormonal cystic acne (fun I know) so my regular light coverage ...

Foundation Review - BareMinerals BarePRO Liquid Foundation

So we once again return to finding the perfect foundation. This time it is the controversial BareMinerals BarePRO liquid foundation. As a brand famous for their mineral powder foundation, many people were shocked when they revealed they would be launching a liquid foundation. TO be honest, I think that the with the rising popularity of liquid foundations they would have been a fool to not give the people something new. This has so many 'good for your skin' ingredients like bamboo, papaya and is also supposed to improve the skin's texture over time (sounding good to me). The texture of this foundation is pretty liquidy, it feels just like water, it just runs off the back of your hand. When you apply it, it dries quick,  and boy do I mean quick, so I found when I applied it with a brush it just looked patchy and unnatural. I decided to warm the product between my fingers and apply it with my hands, which worked like a treat. The finish is stunning, it's matte, but not...

Isle Of Paradise Self- Tanning Water Review

So throughout the year, I am pretty much Casper the ghost when it comes to having a tan and when summer comes round, I just can't face my translucent legs any longer... bring on the tan! So usually my go to is Bondi Sands, but I was just drawn to the uniqueness of the tanning mist! This comes in three colours, designed to match your skin tone which is pretty cool, there's a pink (light) , green (medium) and purple (dark). I am pale but have an olive undertone to my skin so decided to go for medium because usually the lightest ones don't show up on my skin particularly well. So I did all the usual steps of tanning, 24 hours earlier I exfoliated my skin and moisturised (especially around my ankles and wrists) and then I got down to actually applying it. When you spray this stuff, you're supposed to spray it from a reasonable distance and just keep spritzing until you're basically soaked in the stuff. I had a really hard time getting this to work and I was so dis...

My 4 day Palmer's Ultimate Recovery Hair Treatment

So summer is great and all but seriously my hair has had enough. It's frazzled, It's a mess and in need of help. But fear not, the great thing about summer, is you can pretty much do whatever with your hair during the heat and get away with it. So I stumbled upon Palmer's instagram and saw a deep hair treatment that you just leave on and decided to do my own twist on it and see what happened. These products are recommended for more curly, dry, thick hair, which is my hair type to a T. I didn't wash my hair for 4 days and simply drowned my hair in these goodies and this is what happened. First of all I'm gonna give you the low down on what these products are and what they are supposed to do. 1. Coconut Oil Formula Curl Condition Hair Pudding Once I have washed my hair, I leave it wet and I put so much of this stuff on. It's so cool, it has this really weird jelly texture to it and I really go to town lathering this stuff on. This is perfect for defining cu...
