My 4 day Palmer's Ultimate Recovery Hair Treatment

So summer is great and all but seriously my hair has had enough. It's frazzled, It's a mess and in need of help. But fear not, the great thing about summer, is you can pretty much do whatever with your hair during the heat and get away with it. So I stumbled upon Palmer's instagram and saw a deep hair treatment that you just leave on and decided to do my own twist on it and see what happened. These products are recommended for more curly, dry, thick hair, which is my hair type to a T. I didn't wash my hair for 4 days and simply drowned my hair in these goodies and this is what happened.

First of all I'm gonna give you the low down on what these products are and what they are supposed to do.

1. Coconut Oil Formula Curl Condition Hair Pudding
Once I have washed my hair, I leave it wet and I put so much of this stuff on. It's so cool, it has this really weird jelly texture to it and I really go to town lathering this stuff on. This is perfect for defining curls and giving your hair that silky, healthy appearance.

2.Coconut Oil Formula Moisture Gro Shining Hairdress
Although this says use on dry hair, I apply this all over my wet hair after the pudding conditioner. This really has the texture of pure coconut oil and really feels like a balm consistency. I put about a 50p size dollop in my hands and warm the product up, I focus this on the mid sections of my hair because that's where I find my hair to frizz the most.

3.Coconut Oil Formula Super Control For Edges
After the previous two steps, I slick my hair back and swirl it into a little top knot. Now the single most annoying thing about slicking my hair back is the little wispy baby hairs that pop up and somehow defy gravity, like they've been for astronaut training at Nasa. It stopped me wearing my hair back for years, but this is a miracle. This stuff feels like putty and is really like glue , and it slicks my hair back and I feel like a supermodel. My baby hairs just do not move all day, it really gels my hair back fuss free. I even keep a spare one in my hand bag for on the go. I think this is perfect for just any one who wants that really intense slicked back hair do.

4. Coconut Oil  Zero Break Reconstructor
To finish the look off I just spritz this all over my little bun, you can do this before you put your hair up, but I just feel like it really sinks into my hair when I spray it over the bun. This makes your hair so much less likely to break and really strengthens it, so perfect for my damaged coloured hair.

And that is it, I'll add a scarf and then just brush it through ever morning and add a bit of moisture go, if my hair feels dry. I thought this was perfect, as I love to go the gym, it's the perfect way of ensuring my hair stays out of my eyes and is actually getting a really good condition too.

So after the fourth day I washed my hair, just using my regular shampoo and conditioner. The results of this astounded me. My hair looked like it had never been touched by any kind of curler or straightener and certainly did not look damaged or coloured. My hair swishes and catches the light and really just shines again. I try and do this treatment every two weeks, using my Uberliss Nutritive Hair Mask in the shower, in-between treatments to maintain the quality of my hair. This treatment only takes 5 minutes to do and the benefits really pay off. It gives an effortless, quick, sleek style that is great for the heat and gives you supermodel hair!

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
