Top 5 July Makeup Buys

The amount of makeup I bought in July really made my eyes water when I look back (cries over bank account), so picking 5 top products was a real struggle , but I really narrowed it down and picked five of my favourite July buys

Glossier Cloud Paint - Dusk
I bought these after months of drooling over them and they did not disappoint. They are my favourite cream blushes ever, they look so natural and not powdery on the skin. I just feel like I look so alive when I wear these. I have four colours, haze, beam, storm and dusk. Dusk is 100000% my favourite, it has a little bit of rosiness, but the worth and nudeness, to be used as a bronzer. I wear this on my lips, my eyelids, my cheeks. It's one of those wonder products that can be used in so many different ways and the packaging is so cute and easy to use.

Nyx Eyebrow Gel - Espresso
This month my eyebrows had been driving me insane. I don't know why but they just never seemed to match my hair colour or they would look so un natural. It was time for a change. I had never used a gel before so was pretty nervous, but it is incredible. I got really intimidated by the intense, sculpted, instagram eyebrow that accompanied the product. But if you're looking for a product that looks natural and undetectable this is for you! I used an angle brush and created natural looking strokes in my eyebrows. They looked thicker, like they had better shape without looking like I'd touched them in anyway, definitely a game changer in my makeup routine!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation - 3.0
This is so nostalgic for me, this was the foundation I wore for prom and my first ever proper foundation. I used up 6 bottles of this once upon a time and recently re discovered my love for it. It gives such a natural, airbrushed pretty finish, without looking heavy or intense. It truly is my favourite foundation, I guess I could say my holy grail. This is perfect if you think a bb cream is not enough but a full coverage foundation is too much.

Urban Decay Beached Eyeshadow Palette
The reason this is in my top 5 isn't so much for the packaging or the hype, it's the fact it made me try something new. I have never been a fan of blue eyeshadow and is so far out of my comfort zone it is practically on mars. But as an impulse buy, before I knew it , I was unboxing it in my room. I cannot explain how beautiful the formula of this palette is, the blues are so beautiful and pigmented and just look incredible. Because of this I've worn blue eyeshadow every day since I've bought this. So this palette really opened up a new world of colour and vibrance to me.

Kiehl's Butterstick Lip Treatment - Naturally Nude
I've only had this a few days, but it has become my favourite day time lip product. It pretty much matches any eye look I do and really conditions and treats my lips. This is a litttlleeeee expensive, but I'm not really a tinted lip balm person. So to find one that has an amazing colour pay off, conditions my lips and goes with any outfit or makeup look, is a product that will stick around!

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
