How To Stop Your Hair Frying In The Heat

Summer, that time of year where everything looks perfect, the trees are green, the sun is shining and I can finally whip out those cute dresses I've been pining for all winter....But it's all fun and games until your hair turns into a ball of frizz. Nothing ruins my summer vibes more than turning to the mirror and looking like something Dr. Frank 'N' Furter created in Rocky Horror. The heat, humidity and UV Rays do absolutely nothing for my hair. But over the years I've learnt ways of dealing with my crazy hair and the products essential for maintaining my summer style.

1. REDKEN One United Multi Benefit Treatment
If you only ever use one product on your hair, use this! In summer I can't apply loads and loads of product to my hair because it just becomes so heavy and bogged down, so I like to find products that can multi-task and go above and beyond. This product is insane, it has 25 benefits to using this and includes nourishing, detangling, frizz control, anti static, I mean... the list goes on. I've already worked my way through one of these bad boys and constantly have this to hand. I love spraying it on my hair wet as I find it really does detangle my hair and gives it such a silky soft sheen when I dry it. This is perfect to stop your hair going mental in the weather and stops those pesky hairs becoming frizzy or uncontrollable.

2.Bumble and Bumble. Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry
I love this stuff! It is basically a mouse but in a spray bottle, so it's really easy to spray in your hair and massage it in. This is one of those products where it's perfect for giving extra volume and giving a natural beachy texture, or if you want to let your hair dry naturally gives that extra body and style. I use this religiously no matter what I'm doing to my hair, it has become a true staple of my summer hair care.

3.Bumble and Bumble. Surf Spray
If I'm ever travelling or just want an 'out the shower' hairstyle this is my go to product. I towel dry my hair and spritz this through my hair and let my hair do it's thing. It gives a really gritty 'cool girl' messy wave, which is all I ever ask from the hair gods. It makes your hair look like you've spent hours perfecting that messy, undone wave, when in reality, I'm sat watching YouTube whilst my hair dries.

4. Style Freedom Rejuvenating Oil
Out of all the oils I have ever used without a doubt this is my favourite. It has a lightweight formula, that doesn't clog up your hair and I can apply this throughout the day and it doesn't ruin my hairstyle. Sometimes if the sun is drying out my hair, certain oils just drag my hair down and don't really get into my hair, but leave it greasy. This oil absorbs so quickly and has a liquidy consistency meaning it is perfect for day to day protection, especially in the heat.

Bioderma Sensibio Range Review - PR

If you've been around for a long time you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands and they were kind enough to send me their Sensibio range to try out.  The Bioderma Sensibio Micellar water needs no introduction. It's a staple in so many makeup artists routines and it's easy to see why. I've gone through so many of these micellar waters and nothing quite compares for me. This is the foundation of my morning skincare and is just enough cleansing without stripping my face. It's such a beautiful formula that leaves my skin looking super refreshed.  I also received a few goodies I haven't tried before including the Sensibio eye contour gel . This really surprised me as I usually steer towards creams when it comes to eye cream, but I was super impressed with the gel. It feels more like a creamy gel and glides beautifully under the eyes and makes the perfect base for concealer. I've actually been using this in the morning as I find the gel i...

Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Bronzer - Pale Skin Review

I had been dying to purchase one of these bronzers since they came out and after months of resisting finally caved in! There are 8 shades which is great as there is a large range to choose from, depending on how you like your bronzer. Naturally I am quite pale and for reference I am the shade 120 in the Fenty Foundation and 150 Buff in Revlon's colour stay foundation, and even in summer, I never really change that much from these shades. From being so pale, the fear of the bronzer is real, I haven't found any that look natural and don't leave me looking orange, muddy, or like i have a some kind of smudge on my face. So I decided to try the lightest bronzer Fenty Beauty had to offer, Inda Sun. From swatching the shade appears pretty neutral and light, it doesn't have a red undertone that can leave pale skin looking orange. I also love the gold packaging and how luxury and sleek it feels. I used the same brush I would normally use for bronzer which is my real tech...

Isle Of Paradise Self- Tanning Water Review

So throughout the year, I am pretty much Casper the ghost when it comes to having a tan and when summer comes round, I just can't face my translucent legs any longer... bring on the tan! So usually my go to is Bondi Sands, but I was just drawn to the uniqueness of the tanning mist! This comes in three colours, designed to match your skin tone which is pretty cool, there's a pink (light) , green (medium) and purple (dark). I am pale but have an olive undertone to my skin so decided to go for medium because usually the lightest ones don't show up on my skin particularly well. So I did all the usual steps of tanning, 24 hours earlier I exfoliated my skin and moisturised (especially around my ankles and wrists) and then I got down to actually applying it. When you spray this stuff, you're supposed to spray it from a reasonable distance and just keep spritzing until you're basically soaked in the stuff. I had a really hard time getting this to work and I was so dis...
