Quick 5 Minute Makeup Routine

With exams coming up, I barely have time to breathe let alone apply a full face of makeup. So as I am trying to cram in as much information as humanly possible, I only have time to apply the bare minimum so I can get up and out and bury my head in a book. These are my drugstore essentials for a quick and easy makeup look that won't take all day.

1) Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is a recent purchase of mine and can honestly say it has become my go to concealer, it blends so effortlessly and looks great on its own without foundation. The applicator is really easy to use as I can just apply it where I need it and blend it out. It's also really cheap and great value for money.

2)Real Techniques XL blending brush
This brush is a god send It is literally the only the brush I reach for in a rush because I can do just about everything with this brush, I can blend out concealer, apply powder, blush, bronzer, I could probably use this brush to summon a unicorn it is that multi purpose! If you are someone who hates using a lot of brushes and wants a really great 'all rounder brush then this is ideal for you.

3) L'OREAL Back to Bronze Bronzer
As far as bronzer goes I am a sucker for a luxury bronzer, as drugstore bronzers tend to look to ashy, or too red or just completely miss the mark. But my mind has been changed. This bronzer gives a really beachy bronze, that just looks so sun kissed. It doesn't look orange or grey but just gives a really beautiful warm glow. This is the only drugstore bronzer I have ever used and loved, so will definitely be repurchasing, it also smells amazing!

4) Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara
Now, this mascara isn't the best for in a rush as it is really easy to smudge it as it has quite a wet feel to it, but it does really condition my lashes. It gives a lengthening effect that really does make my eyelashes look huge! It doesn't sting and doesn't flake, so can guarantee, i won't have to worry about it all day. I have really sensitive eyes so am really picky when it comes to mascara, but this is definitely a new favourite.

5)Lanolips 101 ointment
I can't leave the house without a good lip balm! Lanolips ointment is a lip balm I have used for years and find myself always coming back to it, it's an all round good ointment you can use on cuticles, lips or dry skin. I always have this in my pencil case and apply it when I need it. It's hydrating, cooling and dries down quite quickly.

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
