Foundation Reviews - It Cosmetics CC Cream

Another episode in the 'quest for the perfect foundation' saga brings us to It Cosmetics, cult classic, CC cream. This is branded as your skin but better and has so many claims it makes me feel like I'm wearing something made at Hogwarts.

This is a tube foundation which is amazing I love a good tube, it fits in my makeup bag , I can travel without fear of smashing and I find i rarely waste any product because the tube just pumps it all out.
The consistency is a thick cream and does have quite a heavy feel to it. Whenever I wear this I definitely feel it sitting on my face and doesn't feel as light as some of my other foundations. But this is a full coverage CC Cream, so i kind of expected it to feel a little heavier than say a tinted moisturiser.

One thing I can say is this stuff stays on... and lasts! I can apply this in the hottest of weather and guarantee it won't budge from when I leave the house to when I get back! So this is my go to foundation for vacation as I can Build it up at night or sheer it out in the day! Not to mention it has SPF 50 !! So saves me applying my SPF in the morning. If you prefer a fuller look, i would use a flat top foundation brush, but if you like a more natural look, I would use a beauty blender.

Overall I think this is a really nice foundation that lasts and has all the properties of a skincare product. So it makes my skin look and feel amazing, which I think is so important. The only downside is the colour range is quite bad, I find that i'm in-between shades which is so annoying as it costs double the amount to buy my shade. But overall I love this product and it's why I constantly re-buy it and have it pride a place on my vanity !

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
