Foundation Reviews - Glossier Skin Tint

Glossier is probably the most hyped up brand ever. It is everywhere I turn, on instagram, in my dreams and before I know it I'm applying to it my face. I deliberated for so long about buying this because although it's light coverage, I saw so many reviews claiming it was pointless as it had practically zero coverage. I do like light coverage foundations, but i feel like I need something to justify spending £20, if I'm just going to look the exact same.

The texture is really strange it feels like a watery oil when you squeeze the bottle. I love the bottle though because it comes out in drops, so I never over use it. It blends out effortlessly, but really does blend into nothing. I have to be having a seriously good skin day, or be boiling hot to be able to wear this. I do like this with a full coverage concealer, as the tint evens out my skin tone, and then the concealer really gets to work with the coverage.

I have tried to use this product so many different ways and found that using your fingers really is the best way to apply this, it just looks like really good skin, no thick cream, just undetectable on the skin. By the end of the day I do look like a disco ball when I wear this, I just look like I am glowing for gold. I don't think I have ever used a product that within about 4 hours, it feels like its vanished and I just look greasy. If you want to buy a product that will make a dramatic difference to your skin this is not for you, it really does have about zero coverage.

When I first bought this foundation I ordered the colour light, as I am as pale as casper the ghost, but when it arrived and I applied it it looked so grey, I honestly looked sick. So I contacted Glossier and they kindly sent me the shade medium instead, which is a much better colour and looks warm and the right tone for my skin. One thing  I can say is the customer service at Glossier is amazing, it really is and it's so rare for many brands these days, so if you have an issue with the product, contact them and they really do help.

So there you go, if you want a little something to even out your skin, if you don't particularly like heavy makeup this is ideal, but I would rather not waste my time applying it, and use something with a tiny bit of coverage to save myself so much work, trying to perfect a no makeup makeup look.

June Empties

I can't believe another month has rolled around and it's time for another monthly empties review. I got through six products this month (I know, I'm proud) and it was a bit of a mix of everything; Haircare, Skincare and makeup. Firstly, I used up my La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Sensitive SPF 50 Sunscreen. This isn't my favourite SPF but it does do the job. I wear three pumps of this on my face every day and it has lasted about 3 months. I think the formula is ok it can feel a bit sticky and takes a while to sink in but it isn't my favourite but it isn't a product I don't like. I have repurchased this, because SPF is THE most important part of my skincare routine and when I ran out I knew I could run to Superdrug and repurchase this, because I did not want to go without. Secondly, I finished my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I cannot remember the last time I finished a foundation! This is, without a doubt, my favourite drugstore foundation. It bl...

July Empties

Ahhh another month another empties blog. I actually got through quite a bit of makeup this month, which is unusual for me as it's usually skincare I crank through.  The first product I used up was my beloved Glossier Futuredew. I didn't realise how much I loved this until it was gone. My makeup feels so much different without this as a base and I do miss it as part of my makeup routine. I have a few other primers to get through but I will definitely repurchase this one in the future. The second product I used was my benefit liquid eyeliner. I did like this liner; it's opaque, the felt tip is quite nice and it lasted such a long time before drying up. I do prefer brush tipped eyeliners as I find with hooded eyes my winged eyeliner always looks a lot more precise than with a pen style. So I purchased the KVD liquid eyeliner instead, but the benefit eyeliner is great just not my favourite.  My third empty is my smash box primer water. I adore this spray, it comes out as a f...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...
