Plenaire Skincare Review

I'm not gonna lie, the first time I saw Plenaire's packaging I fell in love. It really was love at first sight. I would go as far to say it's my favourite product packaging of all time. The more I looked into the products, the further in love I fell. Plenaire kindly allowed me to choose some of their products* to try and here are my thoughts. The first product I chose was the Rose Jelly Gentle Makeup Remover. The texture really intrigued me and I'm a sucker for anything rose related when it comes to skincare. The texture is really unique, It melts on to the face like a  cleansing balm, but removes makeup like an oil. I absolutely love this product, it removes my makeup thoroughly and doesn't strip my skin. There is a slight fragrance, but it's really subtle, not overwhelming or intense. The only thing I would say, is I find this stings my eyes a little, but ever since I've been on accutane, my eyes have been super dry and sensitive (I use drops every day), ...

Samarité Skincare Review - 1 Month Update

Samarité kindly sent over some of their products* for me to try last month and I thought I would give a 1 month update. I love nothing more than being able to fully test a product before writing a final review, so over the past month I've incorporated these products into my AM and PM skincare routine.    The first product Samatiré sent over was the  Divine Elixir . This is probably my favourite product from the collection. It's a really lovely lightweight elixir, that performs and feels like an essence. One thing I love about this is how quickly it absorbs into my skin. It's not greasy or oily, so is perfect as part of my AM and PM skincare routine. Since using this, I have found my skin is glowing and I mean glowing... I've ditched highlighter completely since using this. My skin looks like I've just had a facial every time I use this, my skin is juicy, plump and super hydrated.   - The only con is the shelf life is 6 months, which isn't that long for a p...

Reviewing Bioderma's Hydrabio Range

If you've followed my blog for a few years, you'll know Bioderma is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Micellar water is a product I refuse to live without and I've gone through too many to count. I was over the moon when Bioderma kindly sent me their Hydrabio Range* to try. The Hydrabio range is aimed at combating dehydrated, dry, skin, which I'm especially prone to in winter. 1. Hydrabio Makeup Removing Micellar Water Now, Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water is a holy grail skincare product in my collection. Believe it or not, I didn't realise Bioderma did other varieties of micellar water for different skin concerns. I've been using the Hydrabio micellar water for a few days and I do find my skin feels more hydrated and plump, compared to the sensibio one. It removes makeup just as well as the Sensibio micellar water and I find the Hydrabio micellar water to be a little more gentle and soothing. I would definitely repurchase the Hydrabio version in...

August and September Empties

With moving house, I completely forgot to let you know which products I used up in August, so I thought why not combine last months empties with this month.  I got through a fair few amount of products over the past two months so buckle up guys! I finally finished my Nars Radiance Primer, which started to turn my foundations slightly pink towards the end. I did enjoy this primer but I'm not sure if I'd repurchase it.I'm especially proud as this was in my project pan. Another project pan item I finished was the Kiehl's butter stick lip treatment. I was given this from my time as a musician by Kiehl's but I didn't enjoy the formula. It wasn't hydrating and actually dried out my lips in the end, but I did love the colour!  I used up my NYX bare with me setting spray, which has become my new favourite. I thoroughly enjoyed this spray; it set my makeup in place, lasted a long time, and hydrated my skin. I will repurchase this in the future but I'm currently u...

Carbon Theory Skincare Review

Carbon Theory is a brand I've seen all over social media and always wanted to try! So when Carbon Theory kindly sent me some of their cult classics to try, I couldn't wait to use them. Their brand is primarily focused on anti breakout skincare products, favouring ingredients like tea tree which is known for it's antiseptic properties.  First up is the cleansing bar. Now I don't usually veer towards cleansing bars as they are usually messy, drying and hard to get into a lather. But this is so different. The bar foams up really easily and is easy to use as a cleanser. The formula is a little drying, but my skin is super dry from accutane and I still wouldn't consider it stripping or overly drying. I alternate this cleanser with my Cerave hydrating cleanser, and use it every other day. This for me is the perfect combination for me. The Tea Tree Oil and Glycolic Pads have become a staple in my skincare routine... I absolutely love these and they are incredible. I only u...
